Knitting O-Rama

I'm off to knitting tonight.  I shall hopefully finish up the damn fingerless mitten I started months and months ago, and perhaps finish winding up the rest of the yarn for the bamboo scarf.  Sunday I'm taking an enterlac class. Yippy!  Should be good and crafty, even if it is at one of the weirder yarn shops.

Oh, I can't stop listening to Neko Case, Peter Yorn, Ryan Adams and Whiskeytown, Golden Smog, the Old 97's,....I'm on a alt country kick.  Hey wait, when did I turn into a hick?

I've been driving the Dart to work every day and it's running great and getting pretty good gas mileage. Go Dougal. 

Last night I braved the 99 cents store with Miss Q.  I have to admit it was fun, but not as much fun as wondering around with Mr. E.  I missed his snarky jokes in the food section.

Shiny Things Galore!

I came home from work yesterday to find a present from Mr. Postman aka New York.  It was full of CANDY and SHINY MAKEUP straight from fashion week!  So exciting.  I will post a picture of the bounty over the weekend. 

Girls:  Don't be jealous, there is so much makeup that I am sharing.  That's right, I'm actually passing the goods around.  Of course, I picked out my favorite stuff first...

Snarky Goodness

Mr. G Show took me to a rather fabulous art walk downtown last night.  We took his little red convertible (always a good time) and art hopped for about an hour and a half.  In between making snarky comments about most of the bad art he analyzed my current dating situation.  Sometimes one just needs an outsiders opinion.  For some reason he can pin down exactly why I do the things I do based upon my Aries sign. 

Most of the pieces looked like 2nd year art student fodder, but a few were quite good.  There was this one piece that I didn't really like, but was just just very different.   From across the room it looked like a typical flower painting, when you got up close there were porn shots in the petals.  It was a very "oh my" kind of moment.

Anyway, I'm thinking of making next months art walk a group event. Drop me a line if you want to go.
